This is the Renaissance age of entrepreneurship and innovation... and it's just beginning.

I love creating new markets and new products to meet a changing world.

I'm honored that my work as an entrepreneur has been recognized nationally for innovation excellence. I received the 'Fast 50 Award' from Fast Company Magazine ("The Fast 50 are the idea elite of business, individuals with the vision and personal commitment to propel their companies and industries into the future.") This award is now called The World's 50 Most Innovative Companies.

I received the United States Small Business New Product of the Year Award, presented by the National Society of Professional Engineers in 2005. I have also been twice awarded New Product of the Year for the State of Wisconsin.

I am an inventor and hold 9 US and foreign patents. I led our manufacturing company from invention through commercialization to global sales. Our industrial fluid recycling inventions are now recycling millions of gallons of oil every year that used to be lost as wastewater.

During the recession I helped launch and lead an award winning economic development organization. My work there is recognized nationally for its focus on entrepreneurship and innovation.

I have helped develop the Wisconsin Innovation Kitchen since they opened. This work has created new markets for local and specialty foods. We help develop new food entrepreneurs. We help family farms. We help move regional produce into regional markets year-round. We also help create meaningful jobs for people with disabilities. Innovation Kitchens LLC continues this work.

I love entrepreneurship and innovation. I love creating new markets.

I'm an avid walker, birder, reader, writer and learner. Mary, the love of my life, and I raised two amazing daughters.
